I’ve downloaded NIK’s HDR EFEX Pro trial. Figure since I get questions at every workshop about HDR photography I better learn a little about it. So far I’m pretty impressed. The problem is that I don’t have a whole lot of images to try it out on. Guess I better try to make some.

So basically, you’re going to spend your time deliberately seeking out crappy light? 🙂
I’ve actually tried it on a series of shots I made at Gasworks Park a couple of years ago from inside the covered area.
The software has a bunch of presets to use as is or as starting points. It fun to play with and it worked really well.
Since I have never tried HDR I am reluctant to comment….but….if it can be used to maximize what can be done with marginal light without looking phoney, why not?
