I've got a couple of workshop announcements and Sydney meets a new friend.

I’m teaming up with Margo Pinkerton of Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures
I’ve got some exciting news. Long time subscribers might remember that I use The Turning Gate’s suite of website creation applications for photographers to build and manage my websites. I’ve been active on the support forum for many years and that’s how I met Margo Pinkerton. I was able to help her with some questions she had, and over the years we’ve chatted back and forth and have become good friends, despite the fact that we’ve never actually met in person.
Margo is a long-time photo workshop and tour leader with loyal following, and we’ve talked about trying to meet up if we happened to be in the same area at the same time. So far, that hasn’t worked out, so instead of waiting, we’re teaming up for a pair of workshops in the Pacific Northwest!

Olympic and Bandon 2026

The first workshop that Margo and I have planned is Olympic National Park, May 18-22. This workshop will be limited to 10 participants and will feature several critique sessions along with as much (or as little) hands-on help in the field. We’ll also cover topics such as planning shots for the digital darkroom: panoramic stitching, focus blending, exposure blending, and basic to advanced processing in Lightroom.

Following Olympic, we’ll be heading to Bandon, OR for another 5-day workshop, May 25-29. All the features of the Olympic workshop but in Bandon.

A Twofer discount is available for those wishing to take both workshops and an early bird discount is available for those signing up for one or the other.
Links on my Olympic and Bandon pages will take you to Margo’s site where you can sign up as well as get more information on the discount.
